Since 2000, SCI Foundation has funded over 80 wildlife conservation projects in 27 countries. From white-tailed deer in your own backyard to African lions on the Serengeti plains, our research provides the the most accurate science to conserve species, improve habitat and support sustainable use management.

This Conservation Highlights is a portfolio showcasing our highest profile wildlife projects around the world. Some of SCI Foundation’s most recent accomplishments in our core regions include reintroducing wood bison to the United States in Alaska, accurately aging African lions within 6 months, and successfully reopening a hunting program for Argali sheep in Tajikistan.
