The Conservation Tag Auction is in just two weeks!
SCI Foundation is hoping to break our fundraising goal with this auction at the 2016 SCI Convention. Proceeds generated go directly to tribal natural resource agencies to conduct research and management projects in the field. Read last week’s First for Wildlife post for more information on the successful conservation programs of our Native American partners.
This year we will be auctioning off a Rocky Mountain Elk tag from the record breaking White Mountain Apache Reservation in Arizona, Mule Deer and Desert Bighorn Sheep tags from the Navajo Nation, and a Rocky Mountain Elk tag from the world-famous Acoma Pueblo in west-central New Mexico. These hunts foster a working relationship between hunters, Native Americans and conservationists alike. We are proud to be partnered with these tribes and support their positive conservation efforts.
SCI Foundation Day will once again be kicking off events at the 44th Annual SCI Hunters Convention on February 2, 2016. The day features a sporting clays shoot that benefits the Boy Scouts of America and the Beretta Conservation Leadership Award Gala.
The 2016 Conservation Tag Auction will be taking place on Friday, February 5th, in Bayside Hall F at 11:00 AM in Las Vegas. We look forward to seeing you there and to another successful auction for wildlife conservation! For more information, go to the SCI Convention website at www.showsci.com. Stay tuned to our social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, for more Conservation Auction Tag promotions every Friday!
Twice a week, SCI Foundation informs readers about conservation initiatives happening worldwide and updates them on SCI Foundation’s news, projects and events.
